20th November 2006, Monday ( Day 1 in Taiwan )
Today Morning, my mother, brother and i woke up at 5 in the morning.Although i slept last night, but when i woke up, i felt so sleepy. Don't know why this time i go overseas not excited or nervous lehx. Felt So sian. Like no mood no mood de.
Anyway, our first flight is to fly from Singapore to Hong Kong. The time of our flight is 8.05am to 12pm. The second flight is to fly from Hong Kong to Taipei. The time of our flight is 1.10pm to 2.55pm. I enjoyed looking at the plane when taking off and when it is landing.Its so amazing! I saw thick fluffy clouds. Stacking on top of each other. There's one that looked like a castle!! Besides that, the food they served on the plane are also delicious. For the first flight, we had breakfast. We had omelette with mushrooms, sausages, fruits and juice. But i prefer the bee hoon my mother ordered. Because the omelette is too thick and doesn't taste as delicious as the bee hoon.
For lunch, we had chicken burger, fruits and drinks. The burger is hot and delicious!! The fruits include lychee, grapes, apples, watermelon, papaya, and green apples. There's also a small television in front of our seats which we can watch movies or whatever channel you tune into. I watched monster house and mr. bean on the first flight. For the second flight, i watched disney channel. But too bad... there's no game to play.
After alighting the second flight, we took our luggage, went to toilet, then went with our tour leader to meet our tour guide. Our tour guide is called Danny. He's very humorous and very knowledgable too!! Tell you all why after posting all my journeys. Lets start with our first destination. The tour guide brought us to Fisherman's Wharf to see the unforgettable famous Tamshui sunset view. But as it is still early, we only took some photo, and went to singing ( toilet ). Hahax(: On the journeys on the coach, our tour guide told us about many things like the history, interesting places we are going, introduced himself, told us about what he experienced and so on.
As the Fisherman's Wharf is is beside / near the sea, the wind is very strong and it was cold. The tour guide said that the lowest temperature that can go is 5-6 degrees celsious*!!
Next, we went to Tamshui old street. It offers more than a great place for fresh seafood. It is a town with beautiful views and colourful history. The tour guide introduced us some interesting foods that we must try. We ate a tofu with dongfen inside. Mixed with some sweet and sour sauce over the hot tofu. Next, we ate sotong(s), fried potatoes with some sweet things coated around it. Lastly, we had a big and tall ice-cream which cost only 10 dollars in Taiwan money. In Singapore, it costs only 50 cents!! Muhahahahahax(=
Lastly, we went to Shilin Night Market. It is a great place for tasting local snacks and bargains. The tour guide once again introduced us to some famous foods sold there. There are ji pa ( chicken steak?? ). This sounds like cb. Lolz. There's also drinks like ku gua plus honey added into it, papaya milk shake, zhen zhu nai cha ( milk tea bubble tea i think ) and many more!!
We also did some shopping. It is a long Pasar Malam. It is so long and there are so many junctions where one can go missing. I bought 2 pocket watches that are shaped like a robot. Cute Leh!! We went to toilet before heading back to the coach. Some people also da bao ( takeaway ) some of the foods sold there! We took about an hour's bus ride to our hotel, which is located at Tao Yuan Golf And Country Club, Yaward Hotel.
Upon reaching the resort, we took our room key and proceeded to our rooms. My mother, brother annd i shared a room. Our room number is 109. When we put down our luggages and bags, i went to take a shower then brushed my teeth. My brother went to buy a special and delicious maggie which costs 50 dollars in Taiwan. In Singapore, it costs $2.50. After buying, he came back with cousins Lawrence and Raymond. While my brother is eating, he played poker cards with them in our room. Tomorrow's morning call is at 6am. So good nitez!!
