first day of work attachment. jiawei, joslynn, kun how, kuang jun and i are going to Future Prodigies ChildCare Centre. woke up at about 6.45am. quickly prepared and went out. took 147 to the bus stop to meet joslynn, jiawei, kun how and kuang jun on bus 153. however, they were sitting at the upper deck while i was standing at the lower deck. cos too crowded. alighted few stops after my stop. and we walked for 2 more stops. then joslynn said that we should have alighted later. hahas. anyways, was feeling excited about it. when we finally found our way to the ChildCare Centre, we went in and Helen talked to us. she was very open minded. hahas. guess the children have had lots of fun with her. we were separated into one class each. kun how: 2 year olds. kuang jun: 3 year olds. jiawei: 4 year olds. me: 5 year olds. joslynn: 6 year olds. well, the class i am taking of, their classroom is at the first floor. while others was all at the classrooms at the second floor. so i was feeling kind of lonely at first. after talking to the kids there, i felt that they really have a lot to say. hehes. first talk to me about transformers then iron man then spiderman. unfortunately i never watch these shows before. so when they say the parts that are funny, i just laughed along with them. lols.then got one boy already got psp.!!!???!!! so young got psp already?? i dun have larx!!! lols. anyway i not interested in psp. their first lesson was chinese. they were quite attentive during the 'class'. which was reading a story, conversations, learning new words, and stretching. hehes. after chinese was break!!! all of them suddenly became so energetic. but they were very organised and trained well. they queued up and said who was first, second, third and so on. then one of them say:" ohh.jonea last one." i was like...okay. hahas.cute sia they all. then they kept pulling me run along with them. dunnoe run around the garden how many rounds le. then they started playing their own games which i dunnoe how to play. they taught me. the game is like... the ppl sitting in the circle will sing a rythm. then one of them will tap on the head of another person sitting down. so the person will have to get up and catch that person. sounds familiar rite??hahas. i purposely let the guy catch me then to my surprise... THEY ASKED ME TO SING!!!! omg. stunned for a while. then suddenly one girl shouted:"its gonna rain!!lets run to the shelter!" and like that, i got away for singing. lols.so ps!!! then they like to jump from the benches. and they wanted me to catch them. lols.fun larx!!but they were all sweating!!! hahas.but dun really mind. they kept pulling my hand. and one girl puled me to the right, another to the left. i had a feeling that i was splitting into two!! and one girl bullied me!! she hit me, twist my hand and fingers and used chalk to draw on my hand.!! lols.dun blame her. dunnoe why she does that to me too ): well, i also enjoyed break time with them!!!! after break time must wash hands so as to prevent hand food mouth disease and also to be hygienic. washed hands with them also. they were playing with water and soap. and the whole sink area was full of soap and water. they had to clean up of course. but the teacher helped too! well, i learnt their names already!! there's: Winson, Raine, Edson, Gwen, Aaron, yana, Ryan. yep.dunnoe got spell their names wrongly anot. but were very happy that they remembered my names too!!!wee~!!! some were absent today i guess. after break time was getting ready for maths lesson. they started with counting. then tried ot some questions involving addition. the kids kept talking to me and never pay attention. then they got punished in the end. and i felt so guilty!! then there's this boy who was asked to write his answers on the board. the teacher drew some pictures on the board. example: ** + ******** = ___ then he wrote 2+7=9 teacher :"are you sure? can you count the second one again?" boy :"1...2...3...4...5...6...7...8." teacher :"so how many are there in the second group?" boy :"7..." teacher :"can you count again?!?!" boy :"1...2...3...4...5...6...7...8." teacher :"so how many are there?" boy :"7..." teacher :"can you please count properly?" boy :"1...2...3...4...5...6...7...8." teacher :"can you tell me how many are there now??" boy :"8!: teacher :"good.so how many are there in total? boy :"10!!" teacher :"good. go back to your seat now." lols!! so funny!! they had to do some work for mathematics. helped some of them. looks easy to me but to them can be really difficult.!! after doing their maths ws, they can have some free time until lunch break. played lego with them. didn't know wad to make out of it. so i just make a heart. didn't know that there will be so much excitement between them. all started asking me to make heats for them. one girl suddenly say that she wants a heart-shaped lollipop. then others also want. OMgosh!!! time was up. one boy was feeling quite upset cos the one i made for him was spoilt and i got no time to help me mend with it. really felt very sorry... they had their lunch after wahing their hands. they had duties too.!! like giving out the plates and utensils. they had very good manners. they must say 'yes, please.' or 'no, thank you'. they also know that they must no pick on foods, cannot waste food and so on. really impressed by them. time flies...it was 1230pm already. so we had to leave. bid farewell to all of them and we went off. crossed the overhead with them. realised that i was going toapayo with yuhling. so i crossed nack again. was steaming at the bus stop. met yuhling on bus 155. went to food court to have lunch. saw one man leaving a plate of chicken rice untouched. and he just leave like that. waste food!!! so many ppl are suffering out there and he wastes food like that. 身在福中不知福!! after walking around toapyo, went to take train down to bishan. saw joslynn and the 2e3 ppl at swensens celebrating Ivana's birthday. walked around then took train to amk hub. met trina. julia went to her aunty's house. so didn't meet her. yuhling and i bought a fbt shirt. nice!!! was feeling tired. really sorry trina. asked you come out in the end so early go back liao. so sorry to waste your time. reached home, bathed use com until now. just now talked to joslynn on the phone for more than an hour. talking about the child care experiences. really fun. shall end here. tmr got maths olympiad competition. wish me luck. see ya!!! nitez.muackxx(:
